Не получали GC и SSN долгое время, писали кучу писем, но нас просили ждать установленный срок - пол года.
Прошло пол года, написали в очередной раз.
И, о чудо, нам ответили и даже прислали конверт с письмом о том, что... наш пакет документов потерян. И нам нужно теперь его восстанавливать.
Тот желтый пакет, который нельзя было открывать, который передается офицеру при пересечении границы США.
Не знаю на сколько это сложная процедура и сколько займет времени.
Наконец-то открыли офисы и границы, теперь полетим, будем восстанавливать пакет...
Кто-то может сталкивался с подобным? Какие-то советы может есть?
Как на долго это затянулось?
Требовалось ли по новой проходить мед обследование, прививки и т.д.?

On May 15, 2020, we received a service request regarding the status of your Permanent Resident Card (PRC) and sent a request for you to schedule an appointment with your local field office to recreate your Department of State issued Immigrant Visa (IV) Packet. Your IV packet should have been submitted by the Port of Entry (POE) when you entered the United States. US Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) requires a completed IV Packet in order to process your PRC. In order to get the Lost Visa Packet completed you must visit your local USCIS Field Office. If you did not receive the letter we sent; when USCIS again resumes normal operations and reopens to the public, you will need to schedule an appointment with your local Field Office by calling the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TDD for the hearing impaired. Please check the USCIS Field Offices page (https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-us...d-offices) to see if your field office has reopened before reaching out to the USCIS Contact Center. You will need to take the following to your Field Office appointment: 1. A copy of this letter 2. Proof of identity (This would be a passport or national photo identification issued by your country, drivers license, military photo identification or a state-issued photo identification) 3. A copy of your birth certificate with translation, if applicable 4. Two passport photos Your local Field Office will reconstruct the IV Packet and either complete an I-89, Card Data Collection Form, with photos or send you to an Application Support Center to have biometrics taken.
